Welcome to the Official Website of Recognizable Comedian Pat Young

Hey, remember me?
Sorry, it's been a crazy year. I haven't done too much stand up, aside from auditioning for LCS 2 and a few small clubs here and there. I've been more focused on improv comedy and theatre the past year and a half. My improv troup, Oncoming Traffic, did 36 continuous hours of improv, for which I was there for 32. I was playing ultimate frisbee the other four.
But, I'm trying to get back in the swing of things. I've chilled with my buddy Herbie in DC and we did stand-up together at Schula's, and I saw him do comedy at Gotham up in NYC, which was a ton of fun. I've contacted someone down in Crystal River who should be giving me some work (if she'd return my calls). I'll also try to get some work during spring break.
So yeah, I put my performance on LCS 2 up here, it takes a few minutes, but it is worth the wait. I would like a digital camera, so I can, like, put pictures up and stuff. For those of you who still keep track me, thanks.

"You ain't shit."
Patrice O'Neal kept saying this at a local IHOP in Atlanta, GA. Herbie and I drove up to the Punchline to see Landon Lyon open for Josh Snead and Patrice. After the two Saturday shows we all went to IHOP and hung out. In all honesty I can't remember exactly what he said, except the phrase, "You ain't shit." But he said this about a lot of comics, like Dane Cook, Mitch Hedberg, and other comics we look up to. If that trip told me anything, I'm gonna work harder. It's going to be a long road to where I want to go. A long road filled with drunken hecklers, waitresses that don't give a shit about you, and bookers that will bump you within the blink of an eye. If that's what it takes, if that's how I need to pay my dues, then bring it on.
I still need some more headshots and business cards. And I want a good tape. Once I have my tape I will send that beast to every club in the local Florida and Georgia area. I need to get better.
Check out some of the updates and such. Hope to see you on the road.

What the hell is goin' on, guys?! This has been a crazy summer so far! Well, not entirely crazy, I didn't do a damn thing for two months after I got back from school. I did however do some shows in Harrisburg, Providence, and NYC, and I had a blast in all of them. I've also had the chance to see Stephen Wright, Stephen Lynch, Nick Swardson, Jamie Kennedy, Kevin James, Craig Baldo, anyone else I'm forgetting? In the music scene, I've had the chance to see Dope, Soilwork, In Flames, Mudvayne, Deftones, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, METALLICA, and many more! Besides making the trips to concerts and comics, I've been working three jobs in the past few weeks. Working at a donut shop, painting my grandma's house, and a sales associate at Hot Topic. I need some cash money bling-bling, fo shizzle.
I'm excited to go back to school during the fall. Not only do I get out of Connecticut, but I get to show the crowd down there how I've improved. I have 7-10 minutes of real quality laughs, and hopefully, I can get that up to 20 by the end of next year. I still need to get more headshots, business cards, and that mini dv camera. Modest hopes, but it keeps a man alive :)
Well, I have to wake up in six hours to go to work. If I think of anything else to put on this website, I'll just do it. But I think you guys should be ok for now...
Peace.

Finished my freshman year at FSU. So how will I entertain myself during the summer in CT? Entertain other people! I plan on crafting my art by doing shows in Harrisburg, Providence, and Boston. I also plan to see great comedians during the summer, e.g. Stephen Lynch tomorrow! (May 10) I'll also be seeing Stephen Wright, Kevin James, Jamie Kennedy, and Pat Cooper. And I promise to post pictures as soon as I get them. Peace.

I'm working with the idea of a t-shirt. Check out the Media section. This is just for fun right now, but once I start featuring and get it worked into a routine, I'll start selling them at shows.

Added pictures from Spring Break. Although I don't have any more shows planned yet, I may be doing a couple shows in Boston and MCing Stitches Komedy Kafe in Providence over the summer. I'm moving up the stand-up ladder by practicing my MC skills at shows in Tallahassee, including Anonymous Comics at the Warehouse. I know I was good at MCing during high school, so MCing stand-up shows isn't too big of a deal.

With a brief hiatus during Spring Break, and with a dead monitor, it's been a while since I've had access to my computer. But now I'm back. With a great show in Davie, a trip to Miami, being recognized after a performance at a hypnotist show, seeing Rich Vos, Mike Speanburg, Louis Ramey and Lewis Black do stand-up, and a sucky show in B'ham, it's been a crazy break. I updated my Bitch or Praise! page, and I'll get a picture with me and Lewis Black up soon.
Right now I'm gonna look at trying to MC or open for some clubs in the northeast, possibly Boston, New York, Providence, and God help me, New Jersey. And hopefully my tape of my first Warehouse performance will do.
Oh, and I now have a nickname, thanks to the MC in Davie. I am now the "cheerleader of comedy."
Peace.
By the way, we're going to war, and I'm fine with it. To all you protestors that think you can single handedly stop troops from entering Iraq, you aren't going to stop the war! Get over it!

I've added a few pictures, a couple links and my creatively titled "Bitch or Praise" page. And hopefully, I can get some more dates during the week of March 9th, which is spring break for me. I could have spent spring break back up in Connecticut. But honestly, who goes to Connecticut for spring break? I plan to go to some open mics down in the southern end of Florida and work on my routine that I'm bringing to the Stardome. The Stardome, in my opinion, is my greatest challenge as a comedian. I will be fully prepared when I hit the stage March 15th.
February 2003, somewhere in cyberspace.......
This is the illest, dopest, most flyest website on the Internet!...............
OK, maybe not yet. I'm still putting stuff up.
Anyway, my name is Pat Young. I've been doing comedy for a few months now, and I believe I can say that I am an official comic! Hooray!
If you'd like, click one of the links below and find out more about me and what I like.
